Terms of Service

Effective Date: July 9, 2026

1. What CartArmor Is

CartArmor is a tool, not an insurance provider. It lets Shopify merchants present one optional paid add-on, such as package protection, gift wrap, or priority handling, inside the store cart.

2. Who These Terms Apply To

These terms apply to every merchant who installs or uses CartArmor on a Shopify store.

3. Merchant Responsibilities

By using CartArmor, you agree that you are solely responsible for:

  • Setting the price of your add-on product
  • Defining what your add-on covers and does not cover
  • Handling all customer claims, refunds, or disputes
  • Ensuring your offer complies with applicable laws
  • Not using CartArmor to offer insurance without proper licensing

4. What CartArmor Does Not Do

CartArmor does NOT:

  • Collect, hold, or process any portion of your add-on fees (100% goes to you via Shopify)
  • Handle, review, or resolve customer claims
  • Guarantee any outcome, conversion rate, or revenue figure
  • Modify Shopify checkout
  • Act as an insurance provider, underwriter, or guarantor

5. Pricing

CartArmor is billed as a flat monthly subscription through Shopify. You keep 100% of every add-on fee your customers pay. Current pricing is listed on the CartArmor website and in the Shopify App Store listing.

6. Data and Privacy

CartArmor accesses your store's product catalog and cart events through Shopify's APIs. We do NOT collect customer personal information or payment details. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

7. Limitation of Liability

CartArmor is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for revenue loss, claim disputes, or customer conflicts arising from your use of CartArmor. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to CartArmor in the 12 months preceding the claim.
